The Mission Statement is: to discover and collect artifacts, materials and oral histories of Clay County; to provide for the preservation of such materials and make them accessible to all who wish to study and examine them; to undertake the preservation of historic buildings and markers; to publish historical articles; to hold meetings and discussions to awaken public interest in local history; to acquire and hold real and personal property; and to do all acts necessary and incidental and related to general purposes.
