The Community Exchange Foundation is a Glens Falls, New York-based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. CEF's mission is to improve community life through the redistribution of value and the maximization of utility. CEF kicked into high gear in 2010 and has been transforming our region ever since.

In our homes, workplaces and communities, perfectly good, value-packed resources are going to waste. Usually it's because owners no longer need them yet don't know what to do with them. While we'd all like to match our baby's twice-used changing table to a new parent, or find the hungriest crowd to enjoy our overabundance of ripe garden tomatoes, how do we effectively and efficiently create these connections?

That's where CEF steps in. We're a team of problem-solvers and matchmakers. Our job is to locate value-packed resources and then reactivate them in a way that extracts maximum usefulness for the benefit of the public. In the process, we build the link between the resource and the end consumers.
