Congregation Beth Sholom

1301 Clement Street (at 14th Avenue)
415-221-8736

Congregation Beth Sholom is a Conservative, egalitarian synagogue whose mission is to bring the authentic Jewish tradition to K'lal Yisrael in a way that deepens and enriches us spiritually, intellectually, and communally in an open, innovative climate. We seek to make this a living tradition in our personal lives and the lives of our families and the larger community. We seek to make Beth Sholom a sacred place where we join collectively to worship God, study, and mark sacred time as Jews.

Congregation Beth Sholom was the first major Conservative synagogue in Northern California. From its earliest days it was an activist synagogue, both in terms of its commitment to social justice and its support of Zionism and the state of Israel. Beth Sholom became an early leader in its strong commitment to Jewish education and was a major supporter of the Jewish day school movement.
