Mission :

The Congregational Church of Burlington encourages our members and friends to give generously not only to our church and its ministry, but also to missions outside of the church.

Our church is committed to:

• Offering worship that nourishes the soul, challenges the mind and inspires the heart.
• Helping its members and friends cultivate their spiritual life through prayer and study.
• Providing an atmosphere where children and families can be nurtured in the faith through church school, confirmation and youth groups.
• Offering opportunities for fellowship and service in the community, country and world.

Our Church's Goals and Dreams

We are poised to begin an exciting future together. Our commitment to our church shows in a myriad of ways; from the way we care for each other to the ways we grow in faith through worship and study; from the ways we provide Christian education for our children, youth and adults, to the ways we reach out in love to others. These are visible examples of the ways we are inspired to generosity.

In recent years, our pledges and weekly offerings have reached an all-time high, enabling us to do much of what Christ has called us to do. There is much more that can be done, if this spirit of generosity continues to grow and thrive in our church. As our spirit of generosity grows, these are some of the dreams that can be realized:

• To move our present church structure to another part of our property providing additional space and facilities for christian education, fellowship activities, office staff and community use.

• To provide our children and youth with staff who are specifically trained and called to be their minister.

• To expand our ministry to others by increasing our financial support to Our Church's Wider Mission and to a number of local missions.

• To provide financial assistance to youth as they pursue higher education and career choices.

• To develop a scholarship program to supplement cost for youth church camp.

• To provide financial support for church members to attend denominational events and mission trips.

• To upgrade equipment and technology for the church office, church school and adult education.

• To establish endowment programs to enhance the rministry of the church in areas such as music, youth and fellowship, as well as enlarge the church's investment portfolio.
