About Our School:
Cullowhee Valley School is  located just past the main entrance to Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC.  Serving seven hundred students from Kindergarten through the eighth grade, Cullowhee Valley has had a long-standing tradition of excellence.  The one hundred faculty and staff of Cullowhee Valley create a learning environment that promotes unity while celebrating diversity.  From its inception in the 1880's as the Cullowhee Academy to its present structure, CVS as an institution continues to demonstrate excellence in every area from academic achievement, athletic excellence, and faculty and staff accomplishments to parental involvement and student participation in extra-curricular activities.  Each year we exceed our previous expectations and meet new goals filled with pride in accomplishments never before realized.  We continue to reach for the stars while lifting each other up and knowing the best is yet to come.  We applaude all who have made Cullowhee Valley a true community school.  May you be remembered for giving your best...and then some.
