The Cypress Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1915 by a group of people attempting to get a road built between the cities of Cypress and Los Alamitos.

Before Cypress was a city, the Chamber planned for the residential and commercial growth they saw on the horizon by establishing lighting districts, zoning and variances and traffic control. And in an election sponsored by the Chamber, a park district was formed through the Chamber-driven development of the Arnold/Cypress Park.

From such modest and heartfelt beginnings, the Chamber of Commerce has become a vital link to the growth and development of a city still in the making. The Katella Business Corridor is a still-growing district of small, medium and large businesses. Street and landscape improvements continue to beautify and enrich the city. The Chamber is pleased to be a part of the dynamic growth of the area by sponsoring events, learning experiences, advertising and networking opportunities to the business community at large. Membership and participation in individual, group and committee activities are available year-round.
