The Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta, now in its 80th year, is the largest collegiate regatta in North America, with over 100 colleges and Universities from the U.S. and Canada participating. Every year, thousands of student athletes gather to compete during the weekend of the second Saturday of May. Destination Dad Vail: Come for the race, stay for the weekend! The Dad Vail Regatta is only one of Philadelphia's crown jewels, the others but a short walk, drive or ride from the race!  Rich historic sites, foods of diverse ethnicities, many museums, and major league sporting events are only some of the attractions.
