The Deep River Park & Recreation Commission organizes activities and events for residents of Deep River. The commission also maintains Devitt Field, Plattwood Park and the Town Landing.

Our seasonal programs begin with the Easter Egg Hunt in April held at Devitt Field, co-sponsored with the Deep River Rotary Club. In May, we hold the Annual Trout Fishing Derby at Plattwood Park. The Summer Youth Program takes place at the Elementary School and Plattwood Park, and runs from the end of June until the first week in August. Also at Plattwood Park, Movies on the Beach are shown on Tuesday's at dusk during August. And back by popular demand, we will be sponsoring swimming lessons this summer at Plattwood Park.
