The center is Medicare and Medicaid (MaineCare) certified and participates in most health insurance plans. It is also a participating site of the Maine Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening Program and has priority sick visits; on-site lab work; and pre-registration for hospital visits. Fully licensed by the State of Maine, DSWHC is a department of Waldo County General Hospital, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation.
