Faith Covenant is a member congregation of the Evangelical Covenant Church of America. This denomination, with its headquarters in Chicago, is known through its churches, institutions, and agencies such as North Park University and Theological Seminary, Swedish Covenant Hospital, Covenant Retirement Communities, Covenant Enabling Residences, Covenant World Missions, Covenant World Relief, Covenant Bible Colleges and much more.

Beginning as a revival movement within the Lutheran State Church in Sweden, Covenanters are united, not by creed or ethnic identity, but by five basic affirmations.

The centrality of the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, as the living, authoritative Word of God and the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine and conduct.

The necessity of new birth for entrance into God's Kingdom, and the importance of continued growth in a personal relationship to Jesus Christ as the only pathway for sound spiritual health.

The church as a fellowship of believers, sharing a common life, ministry and mission in which Jesus Christ is Lord.

The ministry of the Holy Spirit who equips and empowers God's people for service to others in his name.

The reality of freedom in Christ who delivers us from the bondage of sin into a whole new arena of obedience and relationships.

The members of our congregation, which was parented by the Glen Ellyn Covenant Church in 1966, come from a wide range of denominational backgrounds and live throughout the western suburbs.
