First Baptist Church of Crofton
Our slogan is more than just a catchy phrase. We hope that it gives you insight into just who we are. We intentionally want to touch our world daily for our Lord.
Jesus Christ reached out to people of all ages and backgrounds and at First Baptist Church of Crofton we desire to do the same. That's why you'll discover ministries geared to various life stages and needs. That's why we have a place for everyone to study the Scriptures, fellowship together, and minister to others through numerous service opportunities. We have recently begun an exciting ministry in El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico and expect to send a team there during the summer of 2005. Locally, we involve ourselves in painting inner-city churches, preparing holiday food baskets and purchasing holiday gifts for local children. We are not content to talk about ministry we are personally involved. If these kinds of activities interest you, come join in. We want you to be a part of the blessings of God in the life of our church. We'll bring you updates often on just what's happening here and share the stories of how Christ is making a difference in people's lives.
We worship regularly at 1690 Crofton Parkway in Crofton, Maryland. The first Sunday of each month features Communion. We have something for almost everyone. Our church sits across from the Crofton Country Club, off the Clubhouse Road exit on Highway 3 North. We have a wonderful nursery and excellent children and youth programs. Bible Study is also offered for all ages at 9:45 A.M. on Sundays.
We worship at 9:45 and 11:00 A.M. with two styles. The early service features contemporary music and the 11:00 A.M. follows a more traditional musicial style. On the first Sunday of each month we combine the two services at 11:00 A.M. for communion in a joint "Union Service". Our church is aligned with the Baptist Convention of Maryland and Delaware, Arundel Baptist Association (a local group of churches in Anne Arundel County), the Southern Baptist Convention and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. You are always welcomed to worship with us.
