Mission Statement:
First Baptist Church exist to advance the kingdom of God. Although we fully recognized that God is the only One who causes persons to come to Him and grow in their relationships with Him, we believe that God has given His church a major responsibility in that process. We thus accept our role as the primary instrument through which God works to further His rule in the hearts of people by participating in evangelism, fellowship, education, worship, prayer, service, and missions.

These ministry areas act as the pillars of our church structure and are essential to our purpose as a body. We therefore have committed ourselves to excellence in these ministry areas in order to bring glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our church is a cooperating Southern Baptist Church, founded on the sacrificial work of our Lord Jesus Christ and guided by His Spirit. We stand firmly on the instruction of the Bible, God's Holy Word, and the principle of religious freedom. We thus embrace the doctrine of the priesthood of the believer and function as a local autonomous church.
