Our Goals

We are a friendly, rural church that is located just beyond the far western suburbs of Chicago. We have the Bible and prayer as priorities as well as seeing how we can best serve you. We are affiliated with the Church of God, Anderson, Indiana. Come and worship Christ with us.

First Church of God has a deep concern for prayer. Prayer is a big part of the life of our church. When there is a need in our church, financial or otherwise, it is taken up as a matter of prayer. God has always been faithful to provide the needs of the church. We believe in Divine physical healing for God’s people. A number of people have been healed of their diseases through the prayer of the Christians here. The women of the church have a strong prayer meeting (actually it is open to anyone) on Monday afternoons. Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting also has a strong prayer segment. We pray specifically for people by name and believe that God will move to bring a blessing to them. We pray for the salvation of people who need to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. Prayer is a serious business that brings great joy in its wake.
