Founded in 1892, the Fitchburg Historical Society hosts a large collection and library focusing on the history of Fitchburg, an important industrial, educational, and cultural center in Northern Worcester County, central Massachusetts.

Programs include free exhibitions, and a research library for local history and geneaology: donations requested for using the library. We will assist you in locating the right information. The Fitchburg Historical Society has an important collection of historic clothing, fashion and textiles; extensive records from Crocker, Burbank paper, United Farmers Cooperative, and other local businesses; and a Civil War collection. Also host to regular educational programs and talks about history. Site of major exhibitions of Iver Johnson bicycles.
