Fremont Photographic Society

3375 Country Drive

Established in early 1969, the Fremont Photographic Society is an excellent forum for expanding your vision as a photographer.  The club was formed for the enjoyment, mastery and furtherance of photography through cooperation and good fellowship by teaching and learning new techniques.  Members of all ages and skill levels share a common interest and enjoy learning through friendly competition.  By sharing your work, have fun learning from some of the club’s most highly experienced digital photographers, image editors, and printers. Join us as our guest to see for yourself how this process can inspire and assist you. The Club is serious about photography and open to new talent.

The club holds two meetings each month: Development Meeting - The Development meeting is held on the second Wednesday of each month.   The emphasis is on sharing knowledge and experience.    The meetings usually start with a workshop on topics such as matting, macro photography, Lightroom or Photoshop techniques, copyright law, etc.   There are often opportunities to discuss issues or solicit suggestions for specific pictures.   This is followed by a presentation from a member covering recent adventures in photography. Critique and Competition Meeting - A Photography competition is held on the fourth Wednesday of each month.   The printed and projected images are presented anonymously and reviewed by an trained outside judge.  The categories vary per month, though the Pictorial and Monochrome categories are always available.  The emphasis is on feedback and the judges will provide comments on each image.  Winners in each category are eligible for a larger monthly inter-club competition held by our parent N4C organization.
