Gas Lamp Players Actors

Ridgewood Avenue School, 235 Ridgewood Avenue

Mission:

Our mission is to nurture character, creativity, confidence, compassion and community through the performing arts.

About Us:

Each young person who takes part in our programs is seen as an individual with his or her own strengths, talents and goals. No matter what role he or she plays in a particular production, our professional educators make sure that each young performer is challenged to grow to his or her potential.  Our classes and summer camps culminate in full-scale productions taught by professional artists and educators. Our performances are of the highest quality, and our classes allow our young performers to hone important skills in acting, voice, diction, dance, in addition to understanding the importance of cooperation. Each year, Gas Lamp Players stages a Main Stage Production with a cast of adults, teens and children from Glen Ridge and the surrounding communities. We are proud to have so many families that audition, rehearse and perform together on the Ridgewood Avenue School Stage. Fathers and daughters, mothers and sons, cousins and uncles…  The spirit of community is alive and well in our non-profit organization.
