Mission Statement :

Whereas, Genesee County is widely recognized as a great place to live and work; and

Whereas, Genesee County, in performing its mandated services consistent with the requirement set forth in the Constitution of the State of Michigan, endeavors to promote an open, responsive government that involves and serves the community and that provides fiscal responsibility to insure a solid foundation for the future.

Now there be it solved, by this Board of Commissioners of Genesee County, Michigan that the following goals are adopted as a mission statement:

To provide compassionate, friendly, service-oriented, efficient and effective government.

To renew and reinforce public confidence and involvement in all areas of county government.

To encourage quality education, health, safety, and welfare for all of our citizens.

To develop an environment of trust where ideas are candidly expressed, differing opinions are valued, and creativity is fostered.

To create and implement comprehensive plans and actions to achieve the mission by fostering an environment of continuous learning, and improvement and encourage excellence in employee recruitment and service delivery to citizens.
