About

The Gloucester County Community Church began in July of 1982 when the Rev. J. Bruce Sofia and a small group of believers felt called to begin an interdenominational, Bible based, missionary minded "fellowship" with the purpose of meeting the needs of people from the youngest to the oldest, in all areas of living, from worship to entertainment, from the spiritual to the physical as the Lord so provides and directs.

That handful of people has now grown into a diverse congregation of over 3,000 people. Throughout the week a variety of activities, ministries, and support groups are offered for all ages.

In July of 1993, ground was broken on Chapel Heights Rd., Washington Twp. (18.1 acres) to begin construction of a church building, and on November 28, 1996 we entered the Promised Land. The new facility contains a sanctuary that seats 1,000 people, an Activity Center, Kitchen, Chapel, Offices, and Classrooms for over 200 children. With God's direction we have built debt free.
