Gordon Heights Fire Department

23 Hawkins Avenue
631-698-6303

Today the Gordon Heights Fire Department has remained a great asset to the community. Gordon Heights was established in 1927, and today almost 80 years later this community still struggles to maintain its identity. Although the community’s boundaries have shifted and our homes divided among multiple fire districts, the unifying identifier and mark of our resilience and pioneering attributes as a community is the Gordon Heights Fire Department Filled with dedicated members of the community, the Gordon Heights Fire Department hosts several community events including holiday parties for the children, Santa runs, safety workshops, and partners with the Civic Association for the annual Gordon Heights Day celebration.

The members of the Gordon Heights Fire Department go above and beyond the call of duty by providing invaluable personal services to our youth and seniors. Our commitment to the community, not just as volunteers but as residents, is evident in our quick response to clean up after a storm including removing down trees and debris, within minutes of its occurrences as well as in their efforts to pump flood waters from the homes of their neighbors. Our ability to respond within minutes to a life threatening event is the difference between life and disaster. Our familiarity with the residents that we serve allows for enhanced personal interaction in an otherwise difficult situation. Our outstanding service to surrounding communities is evident in our response to mutual aid calls. We are proud to serve the residents of the Gordon Heights Fire District as well as our neie.hborin1! communities.
