Gotha Middle School is a student oriented school that focuses on the whole child. We promote a partnership between students, educators, parents, and community to achieve our goals of academic excellence, character development, technological proficiency, and preparing students for the transition to high school.

Mission:

Gotha Middle School is a learning center for the active mind. We are a cooperative community dedicated to preparing students for the future. We believe in the promotion of knowledge, self-understanding, mutual respect, global awareness, adaptability to change and a love for learning.

Gotha Middle School was established in August 1994. Located on one of the many hills of Rural Settlement Gotha in West Orange County, Florida, it serves students living in mostly suburban settings. The student population is a blend of multiple ethnic backgrounds. Of the 1,627 students, 45% are White, 36% are Black, 12% are Hispanic, 6% are Asian, 0.6% are Native American, and 0.6% are Multicultural. Gotha Middle School is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to wellness and the development of the total child. Real-world learning is stressed through an interdisciplinary program that includes the fine arts and technology. A center school for exceptional education, Gotha Middle School offers services to students who are physically impaired, hearing impaired, mentally handicapped, emotionally handicapped, specific learning disabled, and gifted and talented. Additionally, English as a Second Language instruction is provided for non-native speakers.
