Our History

We have been serving the community since 1874 when we first opened our doors in Morristown. Our service area encompasses Morristown, Morris Township, Convent Station. Morris Plains, Cedar Knolls, Whippany, East Hanover, Mendham, Chester and parts of Harding, but you are welcome here no matter where you live. Today, the Greater Morristown YMCA is providing affordable programs and services to more people than ever before.

The Greater Morristown YMCA founded in the Christian traditions of honesty, respect, caring and service to others, seeks to enhance the character and quality of life for all people in the community, by providing activities to enrich their spiritual, mental and physical well being.
