Habitat For Humanity Of Hall County

975 Chestnut Street

About Us:

Since 1996, Habitat Hall County has built more than 30 homes and renovated ten. At the same address, we have a thriving ReStore, a retail discount outlet for new and used furnishings, household items, building materials and much more. The ReStore provides funds for building homes. Come visit us to shop, to donate your excess goods, or to volunteer. We welcome your partnership.

Habitat's Mission:

  • A grassroots Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to the elimination of poverty and substandard housing worldwide.
  • Believes that every person deserves, at least, a simple and decent place in which to live and grow into all that God intends for them to be
  • Builds or renovates houses in partnership with families who qualify for homeownership based on three criteria: need, a willingness to partner with HFH and an ability to repay a no-interest mortgage
  • Works with people of all faiths and people of no faith
  • Sells its houses at no profit, with no interest charged following a biblical mandate (Exodus 22:25)
  • Has built and renovated over 600,000 houses worldwide since 1976

The prices and customer service at this store are a cut above most second hand shops. John and Ryan were both so friendly and accommodating. The newer place is much smaller than their other buildings, however, the layout is easy to shop and it is well lit. Any friend I bring in can't wait to come back.

H4H, Gainesville, small store. A few deals. Nice people! I did find a good leather chair for $14. Pics included for both. H4H, Roswell, big store. Lots of deals. Nice people! I did find some great tile at a great price ($5. p/box).

Upper staff is very kind and welcoming! They helped me know what I was doing, and where, and the organization does great work for the area. However, during my hours of volunteer service I overheard several of the ground workers loudly and cruelly making fun of their transgender coworker. I finished my hours, but felt very unsafe. Would advise any LGBT members to seek work elsewhere.
