Haine Elementary School, located in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, serves the southwestern region of Butler County. Cranberry Township is positioned 25 miles north of Pittsburgh at the intersection of I-76 and I-79. Phenomenal growth has transformed the area into an active, progressive community that is known today as one of the fastest growing communities in the country. This extensive expansion has brought significant challenges and dramatic changes to Haine Elementary. In 31 years, the school has accommodated more than double the first enrollment of 350 students (K-5), expanded from 16 to 40 classrooms and undergone major construction twice (1985, 1997). Today Haine Elementary School, which serves 767 students in grades K-4, includes a multi-purpose room, special facilities for art and music, a well equipped computer lab, large group instruction area, teacher workrooms, conference rooms, and a renovated playground. In addition, we share a new library/media center, band room, cafetorium, and nurse's suite with the Haine Middle School (grades 5-6) that is housed in the same complex yet remains distinct in terms of administration, faculty, budget and organizational structure.
