Hamburg Elementary serves a population of approximately 320 students in grades 3-5. The average student-teacher ratio is 23:1. In addition to the core curriculum, classes are provided in Music, Art, Library, Computer Skills, and Physical Education by certified teachers. Several special education teachers providing resource, speech, and learning support meet student’s special needs. Additional support in Reading/Language Arts is provided by one Title I teacher. Remedial and enrichment programs, as well as guidance support are also offered during the school day. Students are taught appropriate social skills and build an academic foundation that will foster future learning in the Hamburg Area School District.
The faculty and staff of Hamburg Elementary School are dedicated to working with pupils and parents to achieve the potential of each child. We strive to provide an educational experience that will encourage a positive attitude toward school, learning and self. Our program is designed to provide a firm foundation of the basic skills in an environment that is conducive to student learning.
