The District Mission:

Hartland Lakeside School District, in concert with the community, is a learning environment committed to excellence. We are dedicated to cultivating a passion for learning and embracing an environment in which every learner is a contributing member of the global society. We do this by providing curricular, extra-curricular, and technological opportunities that address each learner's unique talents, strengths, and potential for growth.

In concert with our Strategic Plan, the administrative team understands that having a vision and providing essential leadership will be a strong factor in our success.
The administrative vision for the Hartland/Lakeside School District is to ensure that every child's learning is significant. Our greatest achievement will be our willingness to identify and solve problems to accomplish that success. To that end, we will have a learning environment where:

- Students acquire knowledge/skills and transfer them to another setting to identify and solve problems and/or attain a higher level of understanding.
- Students are high-level thinkers, prepared for the intellectual demands of the future.
- Students design and construct their own learning through personally established goals.
- Students are active participants in building a sense of community.

The administrative team knows that fostering teacher leadership will be essential in meeting our vision and the goals and objectives of the Strategic Plan. As administrative instructional leaders, we believe in a challenging student- centered learning environment and condition-less level of high expectations.

The expectations we hold for ourselves and for our staff is to have a passion for learning driven by a need for new knowledge. This is accomplished through meaningful and integrated professional development that connects directly to our goals, mission and vision.

At the center of our commitment to growth and improvement is utilizing knowledge and information regarding research-based methods. We belief that teacher involvement in classroom based research provides pertinent and valuable data that assists us in guiding and framing our instructional program.

In addition to curriculum based measurement and ongoing data analysis, we find it essential to have a learning environment that embraces every child as an important and valued member of our school community.

The beliefs of our plan include that:

- All learners are unique
- All learners achieve their best in an environment where they feel valued
- Schools achieve excellence when there is strong interdependence uniting the district and the community.
