Beginning in 2010, the Harwich Agricultural Commission and the Harwich Historical Society opened an 18-week market with over 20 vendors, offering fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables (some organically grown), herbs, flowers, tasty breads and baked goods, meats, cheeses, a variety of farm related products, along with a few artisans. The market is held mid-June through mid-October each Thursday afternoon from 3-6 p.m. on the grounds of Brooks Academy Museum in Harwich Center. Museum exhibits are open for extended hours during the market and feature the life and legacy of renowned bird carver A. Elmer Crowell, railroad, cranberry, graduation, and maritime displays.
