About Us:

Since its inception in 1975, The Heritage Players, Inc. has offered good family entertainment at affordable prices to the community. Our productions include dramas, mysteries, comedies and musicals, some well-known and some original scripts by talented local writers.

In the spring of 1996, we moved to Catonsville United Methodist Church from Ames United Methodist Church in Pikesville. Since the move, we have been able to produce a wide variety of shows, from hit musicals like Oklahoma and Into the Woods, to smash Broadway plays like Noises Off!. We have also offered Shakespeare productions performed at the nearby Lurman Woodland Theater.

We have always aimed for excellence in performance while providing a climate for growth in the theatrical experience of our members, and we have always believed in philanthropy for the benefit of our community. Since 1975, we have donated over $27,000 to charitable organizations in the Baltimore metropolitan area. What makes these donations even more special is that the cast and crew for each main stage show choose the charity that will receive the benefit from their dedicated hard work.
