The Montcalm Heritage Village was established during Michigan's Sesquicentennial in 1987 to preserve the past for the Montcalm area. A schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, general store, train depot, and log cabin are among the restored buildings and original duplications that line the village and depict the life of earlier times. The annual Heritage Village celebration is held the first Thursday through Saturday of August and features demonstrations, antique displays, wagon rides, a petting zoo and more.
