Hilltop Montessori School's mission is to provide quality Montessori education in an environment which fosters a child's love of learning and respect for self, others, community and the world. Hilltop is a harmonious educational experience for children, where they are taught high academic achievement, independence, brotherhood, and a responsibility to school, family, themselves, society and our earth. Our teaching methods are based on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, a physician, educator and humanitarian who devoted her life to the study and welfare of children. Hilltop's teachers, students and their parents play an active role in our educational process. Our educational environment celebrates cultural, ethnic and economic diversity such that children from various backgrounds are taught to live to their greatest potential. In keeping with Hilltop's commitment to be environmental stewards, we have built a LEED rated "green" school. We are currently moving into our new facility, one designed to be not only beautiful but healthful, with natural lighting and eco-friendly materials. Hilltop’s Board of Directors, Administration, Teachers and Staff, Students and their families all invite you to explore this website and discover how we help our children grow.The vision of Hilltop Montessori School is to be a premier academic institution for approximately 200 students from toddler (18 months) through eighth grade, housed in a permanent educational facility in the Town of Mt Laurel by December 2006. Hilltop Montessori has embarked on the path to build a greenschool on five acres of wooded land in Mt Laurel, very near the location of our current facility. This "green" school has the potential to be the first of its kind in the world
