Idle Thyme Farm was founded in 2002 on a fallow piece of pasture in Southeast Wyoming on the premise that every community needs fresh, sustainable, locally produced food. In 2004 Idle Thyme Farm opened one of the first Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs in Wyoming. Our dedication to local agriculture motivated us to help establish the Wyoming Fresh Market, Cheyenne's grower's only farmers market. We utilize an integrated and diverse approach to organic vegetable, fruit, and herb production. We view the farm as a system that respects biodiversity and encourages soil health and fertility through natural means. We implement green manure crops, on-farm animal manure, crop rotation, beneficial bug habitats and integrated pest management as just a few of our sustainable growing techniques.
