The History of Our School

Our parochial school was opened in 1860; the first classes met in the sacristy of the church under the instruction of local teachers. Soon the enrollment became too large for the sacristy space and construction on a one-room school house began in 1865. The school and an attached home for the teacher was completed in 1870. The current school buildings were erected in 3 separate constructions; the original, middle section of the complex was dedicated in the spring of 1932. Upon his arrival, Fr. Meisinger began making updates to the complex in 1956 with the final and most modern addition being completed in 1960. A lot of cosmetic and minor improvements have been made to our buildings over the years, and many pastors, principals and teachers, both religious and non-religious; have blessed its halls. All were varied in their approach yet united under one common goal, an exemplary academic standard taught in a Christ centered environment. Catholic values and attitudes permeate all that we do, past, present, and future.
