Indian Ridge Farm And Bakery

The CSA at Indian Ridge Farm & Bakery is unique in that members will receive not only FRESH organically grown vegetables and salad greens (assuming no blights, grasshopper infestations or major drought!), but also pastured poultry raised and processed on the farm, organic bread and granola from the bakery, and eggs laid by pastured, grass fed layer hens. By diversifying the items in the basket of goods, we can minimize some of the vagaries found in farming. Shareholders will also receive a turkey raised outdoors on pasture and processed on the farm. Value-added products, meaning additional products offered by the farm for sale apart from the weekly basket, include more chickens and turkeys, pork, beef, lamb, goat cheese, goat milk and seasonal fruits.

Indian Ridge Farm & Bakery, located at 7,000 feet in elevation, is a 100-acre diversified farm operation that includes grass-fed pastured poultry, layer hens, hogs, turkeys, beef cattle, goats, horses, vegetable garden, greenhouse, a bakery, and hay pasture. The farm is situated outside Norwood, Co., on a mesa-top in the beautiful San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado, near Telluride. The farm markets its products via direct sales to customers in Norwood, Telluride and the surrounding region, and through farmers markets. The farm has a 60-household CSA. We utilize the grass pastures that have been established here in the region for the past 100 years. We encourage our customers to always seek out and buy locally produced foodstuffs, especially if they are grass-fed.
