Our Mission

The mission of the Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City is to ensure the continuity of the Jewish people, enhance the quality of Jewish life and build a strong, secure and unified Jewish community in central Oklahoma, in Israel and throughout the world. We advance our mission through the following vehicles:

Annual Campaign:
In addition to directly serving the local community through a variety of programs and services, Federation supports numerous local, regional, national and international humanitarian organizations with funds raised through its Annual Campaign. Programs and services funded must align with Federation's top priorities: Jewish Safety Net and Jewish Continuity.

Foundation:
Federation's Jewish Community Foundation grows funds for current needs and administers a deferred giving program which will ultimately provide and unrestricted endowment for Federation to use in meeting emergencies, seeding new initiatives and for as-yet unforeseen needs.

Community Relations Council: On issues of human rights, discrimination, Middle East understanding, Soviet Jewry, human services and social action, this department acts as a voice of the Jewish community. From church/state issues to inter-religious affairs, CRC provides a forum and focal point for communal response. Through education, pro-action and counter-action, CRC works closely with others to ensure the security of the community and the protection of rights for all.

Jewish Community Calendar:
The Community Calendar is a compilation of all meetings, programs and events of interest within the Jewish community.

Missions:
Under Federation auspices, members of the community are able to enjoy unique travel opportunities to Israel where they will be exposed to Israeli culture, meet key decision makers and visit communities helped by Federation funds. Missions are geared to the general Jewish population, community leadership and families.
