The King George County Historical Society was founded in 1987. The purpose of the society is to collect, to preserve, and to disseminate both information and material of every nature relating to the history, antiquities, and literature of King George County in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This purpose is accomplished through programs on a wide range of topics, publications, advocacy for our historical sites, and preservation of our artifacts.
