History

The KIWANIS CLUB of Morristown, NJ was founded on November 30, 1928 and has a proud history of involvement in many community projects over the years in the Morristown area.

SPONSORSHIPS:
 - Morristown High School Key Club for developmenmt of leadership and service
 - Builders Club at the Frelinghuysen Middle School
 - Local student leadership training at youth leadership seminar and camp

PAST & PRESENT SERVICE PROJECTS:
 - Monthly children's program at Morristown Memorial Pediatric Care Unit (Goryeb Center)
 - Whippany River Watershed project
 - Foote's Pond restoration project
 - Monthly purchase/ preparation of Sunday dinner at the Morristown Homeless shelter
 - Plaid House (abused young women) outside maintenance
 - Mt. Kemble Home leaf & grounds clean-up
 - Semi-annual Morristown town clean-up
 - Ring the bell for the Salvation Army at Christmas
 - Caldwell Field adopt-a-spot clean-up
 - Relay for Life at Morristown High School

MONETARY CONTRIBUTIONS:
 - Many local charities and non-profits
 - Hurrican Katrina relief
 - Iodine deficiency disorder, Kiwanis Internation Foundation
 - Morristown High School scholarships for graduating senior Key Club members
 - Youth Leadership Training Institute
 - Pediatric Trauma Center, Morristown Memorial Hospital
 - Autism research through Kiwanis International
