The purpose of the chapter is:

1. to foster good fellowship among retired public school teachers,
2. to promote the interests and welfare of retired public school teachers throughout the state of Ohio,
3. to provide scholarship opportunities for public school students in Lake County area
4. to maintain an affiliation with other retired teacher associations, as appropriate
5. to encourage volunteerism and donations to charitable organizations
