Lake Eustis Institute

129 North Grove Street
352-357-3995

Mission :

The institute's mission is to provide a lifelong learning center that encourages creative thought in arts, culture, humanities and science.

It is hoped that the institute will help preserve the legacy left to Eustis by the founding families. The institute plans to preserve that legacy by:

Preserving and maintaining the natural resources that drew and sustained the pioneers.

Recreating the sense of community that allowed those pioneers to thrive and enjoy this beautiful place.

The institute believes that learning should be entertaining as well as informative. Classes, seminars, forums, and events are offered in a variety of areas to satisfy almost every interest. The institute also believes that lifelong learning should be about the whole person, not simply the mind. Therefore, recreation, spirituality, and physical, emotional and mental wellbeing are included as subjects for education and entertainment.

Institute functions are offered from January -April and September - November. A light schedule of classes is offered from June to September.
