Vision

GFWC Illinois is an organization with international affiliation dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.

History

Founded in 1947, the Lansing Junior Woman's Club has a strong tradition of serving the Lansing Illinois Community for almost 60 years. Over those years we have aided our community and many other local, state and national organizations by helping them secure money and supplies (though donations and fund raising) and through the donation of our volunteer members time.

The Lansing Junior Woman's Club (LJWC) is a member GFWC Illinois 3rd District. LJWC Department Committees discuss current issues, projects or potential programs at our meetings, in relation to Arts, Conservation, Education, Health, Home-Life, Public Affairs/Legislation, International, Veteran's and Indian Affairs, and Special Emphasis (currently Advocates for Children, Prevention Child Abuse Illinois, Domestic Violence and Empowering Women One by One).
