Mission:

The Las Cruces Public Schools is committed to providing a high-quality, world-class education that ensures success for every student through excellence in teaching resulting in higher academic achievement.

Goals:

1. To promote relevant and rigorous education for all students by recognizing their diversity and all educational needs.

2. To support the continuous monitoring, assessment and revision of the district's Educational Plan for Student Success (EPSS); to implement a strategic planning process; and to hold central office administration, principals, and teachers accountable for student achievement.

3. To provide continuing differentiated professional development that supports the implementation of a consistent curriculum focused on rigorous instruction for all students.

4. To promote and support collaboration among schools, families and all members of the community to accomplish the mission of LCPS Board of Education.

5. To create and maintain a database of physical attributes and existing conditions of all facilities and develop a 5-10 year capital program addressing present and future needs of the district.

6. To attract and retain the best-qualified and most diverse personnel to support increased student performance.
