We are a volunteer fire department which provides fire suppression, Emergency Medical Services response, and a Canteen (firefighter rehabilitation) to the township of Little Rice in northern Wisconsin (Oneida County). The Little Rice Fire Department is led by Chief Larry Mathein and consists of 30 volunteers from the town of Little Rice and the surrounding area. Our mission is to provide the best service to community members by aiding in emergencies, fire prevention strategies, and offering fire safety training. We are always seeking new members to join the department, which is done by filling out an application and attending one of our meetings held every first Monday of the month at 6:30.
