Our Mission:
"To infiltrate every level of our counties with the Gospel of Jesus Christ."

History:

In March of 1981 a devoted group of about 100 believers in Jesus met together at Henry Clay School in Clay Village, Living WatersKentucky for its first worship services. These families from several surrounding counties and different denominations were committed to the vision of an inter- denominational church in this area of Kentucky. With this heavenly
vision burning in their hearts and the Grace of the Lord upon them, the congregation began to fulfill the awesome responsibility that God has given to this local expression of His Body.

Moving into the first church facility in 1982 Living Waters Church continued to expand the ministry. Living Waters Christian School was chartered in 1984 with 35 students enrolled. In the spring and summer of 2000, the Christian school, now maturing in scope and effectiveness, moved from its parent, Living Waters Church, to a location just down the road. With a new name and additional leadership Cornerstone Christian Academy continues to prosper to the Glory of God!

Through the years LWC has continued to reach out to families and individuals through our adult, children and youth ministries. Vibrant
contemporary worship has always been foundational to our gatherings. In addition to a great emphasis on worship, the congregation is committed to the centrality of the Living Jesus and the word of God. The pastors encourage the members of the congregation to be serious students of the Bible and believe that the Spirit and the Word must agree.

In 1989, a new addition was added featuring classrooms, youth facilities, children's sanctuary and office space. Vision at LWC flows toward missions and local ministry. Ministries which have been birthed from this vision in the hearts of people of Living Waters include Operation Care, Shelbyville; Mercy Medical Clinic, Shelbyville; Father's Love, Shelbyville and mission teams on foreign soil to Israel, Africa, China and dozens of short term trips around the world.
