Lone Star Sporting Clays started in November 1991 as a hobby for us.  Close friends had introduced Mike and I to this sport.  After the local range in our area sold out, these friends came to us and said we had the best site for a sporting clays course.   Well since 1991, hobby, love of the sport and old and new friends, this Mom and Pop club is still here and going strong.

We are located in Glen Rose, Texas on our home property.  With the help from our family and close friends, we host an average of 8 NSCA Shooting events each year.  Along with multiple Corporate, Charity and family group events.

Since 2009 we have been open to the public full time.  With the rolling terrain, trees, creek we have a unique setting for throwing targets that the recreational shooter through the “Hard Core” shooter can come and enjoy.  In 2014, we were inducted into the Texas Sporting Clays Association's Hall of Fame, for our services and support to this sport.
