Marie Durand Elementary School is located on West Forest Grove Road in the city of Vineland. We exist today as a diverse school community of approximately 540 students in grades K to 5, with a staff of almost 90.

Our teachers share a common mission, to educate the “whole child” while inspiring them to become life-long learners. We believe in setting high expectations and providing the necessary tools for every student to be successful. Differentiated instruction is one of the foundations of our educational program here at Durand. We offer a variety of programs to meet every child’s needs, including the RTI (response to intervention) program, which has been incorporated into our daily instruction. This support mechanism allows us to closely monitor a student’s academic progress, while infusing necessary and on-going interventions throughout their elementary years. For our students that qualify for gifted and talented services, we offer the LEAP pull-out program.
