The Mayo Civic Association, Inc. has served the Greater Mayo Community for more than 100 years.  The organization was founded by local waterman who made their living on the Rhode, West and South Rivers and the Chesapeake Bay.  The Mayo Community Center is located at 1175 Mayo Road (MD Route 214) in Mayo just past the Post Office and Mayo Elementary School.
