The Maywood, NJ Fire Department is a 100% all-volunteer fire department located in Bergen County, N.J. - located less then ten miles from New York City. The volunteers of the Maywood Fire Department proudly serve our 10,000 residents, including those who work in our community, as our daytime population rises as we support a commercial and industrial area within our community. The fire departments response area includes residential, commercial, industrial, and state highways. Our department responded to 230 calls in 2005 - ranging from building fires, activated fire alarms, mutual aid fires, and carbon monoxide emergencies. Whether it is an activated fire alarm or a catastrophic disaster, the volunteers of the Maywood Fire Department stand ready to serve our community.
