Our Chamber is a voluntary membership organization whose primary goal is to work toward increasing the visibility of the Melrose business and professional community and to provide programs, publicity and public relations strategies that will attract more residents to shop and do business locally. This can best be accomplished by developing and carrying out a yearly plan of action, coordinated by constant communications and by working cooperatively with all other groups dedicated to the continued well-being of Melrose; including government officials, school administrators and all of the business, service and charitable organizations throughout the city. Our strength lies in attracting the greatest number of businesses, organizations and individuals into voluntary membership, thereby creating a pool of resources from which can be drawn ideas, talents and finances. It enables business and professional people to accomplish collectively what no one could do individually. It gives voice in civic affairs and politics and provides a united effort to improve the overall well-being of the community of Melrose.
