About us
Mesa Grande Academy is the culmination of the hopes, dreams, sacrifice and hard work of the Seventh-day Adventist churches in the Yucaipa Valley since 1928. From the humble beginnings in the basement of a local church to classrooms at the Yucaipa Seventh-day Adventist church, and then from a small school on 3rd Street in Yucaipa until 1973, when the elementary building was completed at its present location and Mesa Grande Junior Academy opened its doors. Adventist education has consistently been a growing and ongoing commitment of the local churches.

In 1987, Mesa Grande Academy was finally given permission by the local conference to become a full high school. The present high school buildings, including the gymnasium and industrial arts building, were also completed in 1987. With the first graduating senior class in 1991, Mesa Grande Academy has continued to grow and excel at providing a quality academic program while providing a multitude of extra-curricular athletic, academic and service activities that are unique to this school.
