Mesa’s predecessor schools, Del Norte School and Center School were both originally built around 1895. In 1937, two years after Del Norte burned, Center School joined Del Norte to form Mesa Union School District.

The current site of Mesa Union was built in 1939 and had three teachers and 68 students its first year. Present enrollment is about 560 students and 26 teachers. Mesa Union School District enrolls students in Kinergarten through 8th grades. It is located in the beautiful Los Posas Valley, in Somis, California (Ventura County). Our neighbor cites include Camarillo, Saticoy, and Oxnard.

Mesa, along with its predecessor schools has provided our children with a sound educational foundation for the many years and its motto "Commit to Excellence" speaks to a past of academic achievement and a hope for the future.
