Meyer Orchards

About Us:

Meyer Orchards has been owned and operated by the Meyer family in Southern Oregon since 1910 and we're very proud of our family's heritage.  In 2010 we held our Centennial celebration, which made some headlines in the Medford Mail Tribune.

Ron Meyer and his wife Lana have overall responsibility for the management of Meyer Orchards.  The couple has been happily married for over forty years and have dedicated their lives to making Meyer Orchards into what it is today.  Ron's oldest son Kirt, and his wife Dimna, are instrumental in the orchard's daily operations and will be the successors of the family business.  Kirt and Dimna have two  young boys that we hope will carry on the Meyer tradition of growing pears to make it the fifth generation and hopefully lead to a bicentennial celebration.

Joe Meyer was part of the original Meyer family that moved from Illinois to Southern Oregon to begin growing pears in 1910.  Joe was the youngest of five children, but took over management of the family pear business at a very young age and was the patriarch for six decades before transitioning the orchard to his son Ron.  Even into his 80s, Joe was actively involved with pear production and provided trusted advice to Ron and the rest of the family.  Joe and his wife Lorraine also had a daughter, Dolores, who now lives with her family in Southern California.
