Mill Road Elementary School - Intermediate (3-5)

9 Mill Road
845-758-2241

A child's progress through the grades is marked by increased independence and personal responsibility. This growth is gradual and in keeping with the readiness of the child to engage in more independent activities. In the Intermediate Grades (3-5), we recognize that each child is a unique and important individual. We endeavor to provide an environment where students feel personally secure and academically challenged. It is our goal to provide students with the background and good work habits they will need to be successful at the secondary level.

We also recognize that a key ingredient in a child's success is the support and encouragement provided by parents. We see parents as partners in a child 's education and we encourage them to maintain strong communication with the school. Conferences, newsletters, telephone calls, and other means of communication will be used by school personnel to keep you informed of your child's progress. We wish to stress that communication is a two-way street and you are urged to contact us with your questions and concerns.

Parents are also urged to become involved in school activities. We have an active and supportive PTA organization. We are proud of the community support we enjoy and we look forward to working with you on behalf of the children at Mill Road.
